Want to play all abilities footy this season?
The Prahran Assumption Football Club are now welcoming all abilities players.
They are in our third year of operation and train Mondays and Wednesdays at Toorak Park, pre season at TH King.
We have 10 hearing impaired girls playing as you can read below one of the women, Freba, won a major club award last season.
"The prestigious Neale Daniher Most Courageous Medal was won by a woman player for the first time by Freba Mohammad Zayee
One of a family of 10, Freba left her native Afghanistan aged two and came to Australia. She was born deaf but was only diagnosed as a 10 year-old. Despite the hearing impairment she pursued her love of Australian Rules and was a foundation member of the Two Blues' all-inclusive team in 2018.
This year she played on through multiple injuries in the spirit of Neale Daniher."
