Port Phillip Council is excited to provide beach matting and beach wheelchairs at both Port Melbourne and St Kilda beaches this summer, in partnership with Port Melbourne Life Saving Club, St Kilda Life Saving Club and Life Saving Victoria.
This equipment removes some of the barriers that can restrict people with disability from enjoying beaches. When this equipment is available, there is increased access for all members of the community.
See Council's International Day for People with Disability webpage to learn more about community events during this week.
