Mt Martha Accessible Beach
Location: Mt Martha Beach - Approx one hour from Melbourne’s CBD
When: Saturday 9am- 5pm and Sundays 11am to 5pm
Until: From now to April 26th 2017
What’s available: Beach matting and three types of wheelchairs, including a self-propelled chair and a full floating one. Mt Martha Surf Lifesaving club also provides fully inclusive change facilities.
Organisers: Mornington Peninsula Shire, Mt Martha Surf Lifesaving club and the Mornington Peninsula Disabled Surfers Association.

Williamstown and Altona and Accessible beaches
Location: Williamstown and Altona Beaches
Dates: Saturdays and Sundays
Time: Free to hire beach wheelchairs between 12pm and 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays
What’s available: There are two types of beach wheelchairs available, there is the sand cruiser which is designed to travel on the sand along the beach (Available at Altona) and the Mobichair which is designed to enter the water to waist height of the support person. (Available at Altona and Williamstown)

Bookings: Bookings are free however they are essential.

Where: Mordialloc Lifesaving Club, Beach Road, Mordialloc
When: Available Saturday and Sunday during the life saving club’s patrol hours (12pm to 5.30pm) from December 2016 to April 2017.
Who: Anyone can use the matting, however the beach matting is primarily to assist people who use a wheelchair or have difficulty with their mobility.
Other accessible features available at Mordialloc Life Saving Club:
