Marriott Support Services have teamed up with SCOPE and GESAC to deliver a number of Group Fitness Unlimited programs for people of all abilities:
Fast & Furious is a group fitness workout that is designed for enthusiastic and energetic people who are able to follow directions with minimal support. It combines weights, cardio, movement, music and lots of fun!
Aqua Unlimited is a water based fitness program, that uses the support and resistance of the water to promote movement of all the major joints as well as improve balance, flexibility and movement control. The class is ideal for people who have a disability and are able to stand up unaided in the water. The teaching style has been adapted so as to suit people who have an intellectual disability or an acquired brain injury. Non-swimmers are welcome and carers are recommended to come along to assist.
Wheelie Fit is a cardiovascular exercise class targeted towards people who use a self-propelled wheelchair. This class is ideal for active wheelchair users who enjoy to be challenged and wish to work on their cardio fitness, upper limb strength and coordination whilst improving wheelchair skills and agility.
Hot Wheels is an all abilities program that is ideal for people who enjoy movement and require significant support to do so. It is ideal for, but not limited to, people who use a wheelchair and want to work on strength, coordination and flexibility.
Basketball Unlimited is a fun and inclusive competition for all abilities. It is an innovative basketball program that allows players to build on and work on their skills through a coaching clinic that is conducted before the games. Players can then take these skills on to the court and use them in a game situation.
