Are you travelling interstate over the holiday period? Good news, your disabled parking permit is recognised when travelling to other Australian states and territories. Parking conditions can vary between states and territories, so make sure you check your destination's regulations around disability parking before you head off. Find out more about the Australian Disability Parking scheme(External link).

I'm visiting Victoria from interstate, will my permit work here?

If you're visiting Victoria, remember to bring your current Disability Parking Permit issued from your state or territory and display it when using disabled parking bays so you can:

  • park in reserved disability parking spaces displaying the International Symbol of Access (ISA) for the specified time only
  • park in ordinary parking bays for twice the specified time (any initial parking fees still apply).

Victorian Councils will not issue temporary disability parking permits to interstate visitors.
