People with Disability on Victorian Public Sector Boards Initiative

As part of the Victorian government’s people with disability on Victorian public sector boards initiative, Leadership Victoria is partnering with the Disability Leadership Institute and Voice at the Table to provide professional development opportunities for people with disability to learn about, apply for and successfully fill board roles.

Twenty per cent of Victorians have a disability, yet less than 1 per cent of people serving on Victorian public sector boards identify as having a disability.

The Victorian Government, including through action 24 of absolutely everyone: state disability plan 2017-2020, is committed to increasing the diversity of its boards, including people with disability.

Are you ready to learn more about being a board member?

Leadership Victoria is offering a free program for people who identify as having a disability:

Foundations of Board Leadership and Mentoring Program – A four-day program over three months for those who are ready to develop their leadership and board skills further to become “board ready”. Participants will have the option of being matched with a mentor with board experience.

When: Monday 13 May, Monday 3 June, Monday 24 June and Wednesday 15 July 2019

Where: Jasper Hotel, 489 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne 3000

Time: 10.30am – 3.30pm each day
