WHEN: Friday 10 February 2017, 2pm to 6pm.

WHERE: Try Boys Basketball Stadium, 478 Ryrie Street, Geelong

The Transport Accident Commission, Leisure Networks, Rotary Geelong Central, National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), WorkSafe Victoria and Parallel Sports are very keen to get as many local businesses involved in this special event as they can.

Corporate teams must include at least two players with a disability (and we can assist businesses by providing players), to contest a round-robin series of Wheelchair Basketball.

By including persons with a disability in corporate teams we hope the impact of this event will go beyond just the basketball court to create broader network connections, both socially and in terms of employment, within our great Geelong community.

This is a great opportunity to showcase local businesses, help people with a disability and have a terrific day out all at the same time.

Entry for each corporate team will be via a donation of $1000 to Parallel Sports (all donations over two dollars are tax-deductible), and all monies raised will go straight back into providing much-needed sporting equipment, programs and activities for people with a disability in the Geelong region.

There will of course be a post-competition presentation and barbecue, providing a further opportunity to create local networks, have a few laughs and wrap up a wonderful afternoon.

Parallel Sports is a not-for-profit organisation that relies on public donations to deliver its programs and support its athletes and competitors.
