Kicking goals for inclusion...celebrating diversity
Social Sport for All is a FREE weekly opportunity for young adults with a disability (ages 16 and up) to participate in fun, inclusive, social sport. With a focus on “soccer” participants will be able to develop their sports skill and grow life skills in confidence and communication. The training will end with the Social Goal Cup, a tournament to celebrate International Day of People with Disability showcasing all the skills sporting and social, that players have developed throughout the program.
When: Wednesdays 2pm to 4pm starting 16 September 2015 (weekly sessions)
Event: Social Goal Cup, Wednesday 2 December 2015 2pm to 4pm
Where: Docklands Multi-purpose sports field, Harbour Esplanade (between Collins and Bourke Sts)
Transport: The closest train station is Southern Cross and then it is a short walk/tram along Collins St towards Docklands. Trams stop outside the court, routes 11 or 48, stop D16 or D17.
What to wear: FREE soccer kit to be provided (shirt, shorts and socks) In the meantime general sports attire; sneakers, shorts, shirts, jacket, etc...
