Deaf Basketball Victoria (DBV) offers a social competition for people who are deaf or with hearing impairments.
The competition is held every second Sunday, from 10 am to approximately 1pm, beginning in March/April, and finishing in Oct.
This is a round robin competition, and players can organise their own teams or can register their interest and be appointed to a team.
This competition mainly caters to adults (aged 16 years and over), but DBV do occassionally run training/skills sessions for juniors. The competition is open to both males and females, however there is currently insufficient numbers of females to make a team, so please contact DBV if you are interested in joining.
Cost: Players must be members of DBV (cost $20 per year) plus competition cost to cover court hire, etc. (approx $50 for the year).
What to bring: A match ball is provided for each game. Players just need to bring themselves and a water bottle. If they are entering a team, the team will need to organise a uniform. If they are joining a current team, the team will help them/provide them with a uniform.
Location: Wesley College Gym, off Punt Rd or High St.
